In December, 2009 I was invited to speak at dorkbot in New York City. My talk was entitled “The Moments Between Still and Moving” and focused on my photography and video works. Photography is traditionally considered a medium that pauses time. In my artwork, I position photography as a media art by developing bodies of work that use it to extend and challenge our traditional notions of space and time. At dorkbot-nyc I presented her digitally and physically layered photographs and focused on recent experiments with extremely slow moving videos and coded generative image-based works.
