I was honored to have been invited, by the Vera List Center, to participate on the panel “Conversation: Vocabularies and Evaluations for Socially Engaged Art”. This two-day event at The New School celebrated a prize and exhibition by Chicago-based artist Theaster Gates called “A Way of Working.”
Gates’ work, by the way, is the most inspiring social practice I have encountered in a long time. (My contribution starts at 00:22:58 below).
